As an Activities Assistant, you'll help create meaningful experiences, encourage social interaction, and bring joy to our residents through engaging activities, special events, and personalized visits. Job Responsibilities Assist residents with grooming and preparation for activities. Help assess residents' interests, abilities, and needs to encourage participation in activities and group programs. Assist with recruiting, coordinating, and maintaining volunteers for activity programs. Support Resident and Family Councils and communicate concerns to the Administrator and appropriate staff. Assist with charitable fundraising activities and special events. Sort and deliver resident mail and newspapers daily. Help plan and carry out daily activities, special events, and in-room visits. Assist with resident outings and community activities. Encourage resident participation, independence, socialization, and overall well-being. Requirements Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification preferred. High school diploma or GED preferred. Skills & Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and stay organized. Attention to detail. Creativity and the ability to develop engaging activities. Strong customer service skills. Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to work with older adults.
