Full Time Sunday through Thursday Are you creative, compassionate, and passionate about enriching the lives of older adults? Join the team at Youville Place as a Programs Assistant and help create meaningful experiences that bring connection, joy, purpose, and engagement to our residents every day. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, planning activities, supporting community events, and making a positive impact in an assisted living environment. What You'll Do As a Programs Assistant, you will support the Programs Department in coordinating and facilitating engaging educational, social, recreational, wellness, and spiritual activities for residents and their guests.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with the planning, setup, and implementation of daily programs and special events Escorting residents to activities and assisting residents who use wheelchairs Supporting volunteers, students, and community participants involved in programming Helping create calendars, newsletters, flyers, invitations, and promotional materials Assisting with resident outings, transportation services, and concierge shopping Driving the community van and car for resident trips as needed Supporting employee engagement events and celebrations Monitoring resident participation and reporting changes or concerns appropriately Participating in program evaluations, surveys, and committee meetings Helping maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment for residents and families What We're Looking For Compassion and enthusiasm for working with older adults Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to organize tasks and work collaboratively with residents, families, and staff Flexibility, patience, and sensitivity to resident needs Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with program setup and resident transport Comfortable standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs as needed Qualifications Minimum of one year of experience working with older adults preferred Experience in recreation, activities, hospitality, assisted living, or senior programs preferred Educational background or training related to aging services, recreation, or human services preferred Valid driver's license with a safe driving record preferred Why Join Youville?
