Job Description

Y Learning Before/After School Student Lead/Assistant
  • Location
  • Fraser Public Elementary Schools
  • Must be 18 Years old or older Immediate openings available
  • Year Round Positions can transfer to Summer Camp
  • Part time up to 28 hours per week
  • Site Lead
  • Fixed Schedule Monday-Friday 6:30am-8:30am/3:00pm-6:00pm + weekly staff meetings and lesson planning
  • Site Assistant
  • Flexible Schedule Monday-Friday 6:30am-8:30am/3:00pm-6:00pm + weekly staff meetings and lesson planning Under the direction and supervision of the Y Learning Program Director, the Y Learning Lead/Assistant will be responsible for:
  • Assisting, and implementing program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate, and consistent with YMCA core values.
  • Ensure a safe and nurturing environment; attending to the needs of participants at all times.
  • Serve as a role model for all participants by displaying exemplary behavior at all times and modeling healthy eating and physical activity.
  • Be welcoming to all participants, parents, and other staff.
  • Attend all staff meetings, and training and assume equal responsibility for general housekeeping tasks.
  • Following YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical situations and behavior management, child abuse prevention, and emergencies.
  • Paid training will be required
