Senior Neighbors Grandville Center Position Summary To assist the center coordinator in daily operations and development of the congregate meals programs and other center activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

•Other duties as assigned. Assist in the setup, serving and cleanup for the nutrition program. Assist in the supervision of volunteers and/or staff in the meal program, and specific center projects as directed. Assist in clerical and statistical reporting of the nutrition program and other center activities as directed. Assist in developing activity programs, organizing activity leaders, scheduling activities and programs, promoting participation and providing materials and supplies as needed. Become ServSafe food handlers Certified within one year of hire date required. Competencies Basic written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to understand and effectively work with a wide variety of human dynamics and behavior. Positive attitude, knowledge of general business etiquette, ability to speak with community members and work well with volunteers and committees. Experience and understanding working with older adults including their value to the community. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently. Ability to handle stressful situations and creatively solve problems in a positive manner. Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations, creatively solve problems, make decisions, and accept responsibility for the consequences. Ability to understand and take directions from peers or leadership. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with related organizations/agencies, participants, public and other members of the Senior Neighbors team. Special Licensing ServSafe Food Handlers Certified. Expected Hours of Work Standard office hours are M-F 8:00 am-4:00 pm. Physical Demands / Work Environment May be required to work in excessive heat and cold in association with the role. Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
