Lobby Supervisor Boys & Girls Club of Lansing Lansing, MI Job Details Part-time $16 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Interpersonal skills Attention to detail Organizational skills Guest services Full Job Description Join our team as a Lobby Attendant (part-time) , where you will help create a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for youth ages 7-17. This position is responsible for greeting and checking in Club members, parents, and guests, actively supervising the lobby and surrounding activity areas, and supporting youth participation in Club programs. Under the direction of the Unit Director, the Lobby Attendant will help ensure that members are engaged, supported, and appropriately supervised throughout their time at the Club. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with youth, is comfortable in a busy environment, and can provide consistent supervision, guidance, and positive behavior management. Key Responsibilities Greet Club members, parents, and guests in a welcoming and professional manner Check in Club members as they arrive and maintain accurate attendance records Actively supervise the lobby and designated activity areas to ensure a safe and positive environment Supervise youth, volunteers, and activities while reinforcing appropriate behavior and Club expectations Encourage members to participate in programs and activities that meet their needs and interests Plan, organize, and lead age-appropriate group activities as assigned Provide individual and group guidance and support to members as needed Support both new and traditional Club programs and activities Create and update bulletin boards to promote activities and recognize member achievements Communicate regularly with the Unit Director regarding member concerns, program needs, facility issues, and other relevant information Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly documentation, including attendance, activity records, and program data Complete incident/member reports and maintenance requests as needed Maintain program supplies, equipment, and the overall cleanliness and organization of the lobby and assigned areas Request needed supplies in a timely manner to support program needs Help promote a positive, nurturing atmosphere that encourages confidence, participation, and personal growth Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work effectively with youth ages 7-17 Ability to plan, organize, and lead group activities Strong verbal and written communication skills Positive, patient, and youth-centered approach Ability to actively supervise a busy, fast-paced environment Basic knowledge of recreational games, social activities, and educational programming Ability to provide appropriate guidance and positive behavior management Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Qualifications Experience working with youth ages 7-17 preferred CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire) Must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and actively engage with youth for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Ability to supervise and participate in indoor and outdoor activities Work Schedule Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM Hours may vary based on Club programming and operational needs.
