Job Description

Overview Assists in the implementation of the Wellness department in the Assisted Living, Independent Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing environment. Responsible for group and one-on-one activities. Responsibilities 1. Monitors, records, reports and maintains appropriate documentation regarding residents' ability, participation, interest, and attendance in activities. 2. Motivates residents to attend and participate in activities. 3. Monitors and reports activity supply inventory levels. 4. Interacts, works with and assists in training of volunteers. 5. Distributes monthly activity calendar of events to residents. 6. Assists in decorating the facility for holidays and special events. 7. Assist residents to and from activity programs. Transports residents within the village. 8. Directs and leads activity programs as posted. 9. Assists in planning activities, schedules, calendar of events and posters/flyers. 10. Care and treatment of village birds and aviaries. 11. Assist in planning and accompany residents on special outings. 12. Participates in one-on-one programs and room visits to room-bound residents and maintains documentation. 13. Attend and participate in all appropriate meetings and training opportunities in order to keep informed on current information and skill development. 14. Follow established policies and procedures including but not limited to: o Presbyterian Villages policies and procedures. o Safety policies and procedures. o Federal, state and local regulations. All other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or G.E.D Equivalency required.
