Now Hiring Adventure Lead | Full-time Day Shift | Starting from $40,000 | Pike, NH Join Mount Prospect Academy (MPA) as an Adventure Lead and help create life-changing experiences for youth through outdoor education, recreation, and experiential learning. In this leadership role, you will mentor students, lead outdoor activities and overnight excursions, teach outdoor skills, and help young people build confidence, resilience, and healthy coping strategies in a safe and supportive environment. About Mount Prospect Academy Mount Prospect Academy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping adolescents develop the skills they need to reach their educational, social, and emotional potential. Through therapeutic, educational, residential, and community-based programs, MPA empowers youth to overcome challenges and achieve meaningful success. Position Summary The Adventure Lead serves as a key member of our outdoor experiential learning team, leading activities that promote personal growth, teamwork, emotional regulation, and outdoor skill development. This role combines mentorship, recreation, education, and leadership in a dynamic outdoor setting. What You'll Do Supervise and mentor youth during outdoor activities and adventures. Lead hiking, recreation, and overnight trips while ensuring student safety. Teach outdoor living skills, environmental stewardship, and teamwork. Provide positive role modeling, behavioral support, and crisis intervention when needed. Help students develop social skills, emotional regulation, confidence, and resilience. Train and support staff participating in outdoor programming. Maintain outdoor equipment and ensure program readiness. Create engaging recreational and experiential learning opportunities for youth. Qualifications Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or at least 60 college credits; OR Two years of full-time experience working with children; OR A combination of education and experience totaling two years. Requirements Minimum age of 21 years old. Valid driver's license preferred. Authorized to work in the United States. Ability to pass required background and pre-employment screenings. Ability to safely manage and support at-risk youth in outdoor environments.
