Job Description Activities Aide

• Skilled Nursing Schedule:

  Every other weekend: 8:00 AM
• 4:00 PM One evenings per week: 6:00 PM
• 8:00 PM We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic Activities Aide to join our team in Skilled Nursing.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with individuals living with dementia and a strong understanding of how to engage residents in meaningful, person-centered activities.

Responsibilities:

Engage residents in group programs, one-on-one activities, sensory stimulation, music, art, movement, and other structured programs Assist in planning, preparing, and setting up activity materials and spaces Encourage resident participation while promoting dignity, safety, and comfort Document resident participation and report any changes in behavior or engagement Work collaboratively with nursing, social services, and other departments to support resident well-being Support weekend and evening program coverage as scheduled

Qualifications:

Compassionate, patient, and able to redirect residents in a positive and supportive manner Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable, creative, and comfortable leading small group activities Must be able to pass background checks and meet facility requirements Flu Shot is Mandatory per State Requirements Company Description Lions Gate is a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community rooted in Jewish traditions and values.
