Job Description
Our Weekend Respite program invites teens and adults with disabilities for enriching 2-day retreats! Respite Counselors are paired with a cabin group and support them in having a fun and positive program experience throughout their stay. In the daytime, we enjoy a variety of creative arts, nature and other seasonal activities. At night - everyone comes together for dances, talent shows and other program events. This is an overnight, live-in camp position with weekend lodging and meals included. Respite Counselors lead a group through each program day while ensuring safety and supporting their needs with personal care. They are also responsible for completing necessary paperwork and documentation. Camp Allyn is truly a beautiful and unique workplace! The scenic 105 (approximate) acre property has 4 sleeping cabins, accessible hiking trails, lakes for fishing and waterfront activities, a dining hall, nurses' station and more.
