Full Job Description Position Overview:
As an Activities Assistant, you'll facilitate individual and group social and recreational activities that bring participants together as well as foster a sense of community engagement. This role is perfect for a creative person who enjoys working with people and is dedicated to enhancing the lives of our elders.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing daily activities for participants Document attendance, participant preferences, and outcome when required Support safe to and from a variety of activities and community activities Lead engaging programs by organizing and executing activities, events, and entertainment that promote socialization, creativity, and physical well-being for our clients. Promote participation by communicating upcoming activities and events to clients, encouraging them to join and take part in the fun. Prepare for success by setting up and organizing activity spaces, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready for use. Lead and document activities by facilitating individual and group activities such as arts and crafts, games, music sessions, exercise routines, and social gatherings, while documenting participation and outcomes.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED/HSE preferred 1-2 Years of Relevant experience preferred Who We Are Neighborhood Health Association (NHA), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is the largest community health center system in Northwest Ohio with partnerships that include ProMedica, Mercy Health, and University of Toledo Medical Center. NHA has grown from a single location in 1969 to 12 medical and dental clinics throughout Lucas County. Today we operate multiple health centers including pediatrics, adult medicine, dental services, health care for the homeless, women's health center, senior centers, and a full-service pharmacy with lab services on site.
