Under the direction of the Parks and Recreation Department, assist in supervising scheduled athletics, activities, special events, and Camp Alameda. The Program Coordinator will carry out day-to-day operations as scheduled and keep the Department informed of any issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Including the following, other duties may be assigned. Primary responsibilities are to supervise scheduled and assigned athletics, activities, special events and Camp Alameda. Assists in the supervision of participants signed up for scheduled events at Alameda Park. Assists in the evaluation of programs and events for future improvements and/or modifications. Assists in monitoring facility maintenance operations, issues, and upkeep to ensure safety of the participants and staff. Organizes facility set-up and tear down for events as needed. The completion of all required paperwork (injury reports, inventory, etc.) as required. Help create and distribute promotional materials for programs and events. Being the representative of the Parks & Recreation Department during every event. The safety of all participants and staff is our highest priority. Check the facilities and equipment for any issues that might impair the safety of the participants and staff. Inventory, as needed, of any equipment and supplies at the conclusion of events. Notify the Department if any equipment is missing, lost or faulty or if specific supplies are needed for upcoming events. Maintain the equipment and ensure that it is properly returned after every shift. Assist with pool operations and programming/event purchasing as necessary. Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant education or experience in recreation, event coordination, K-12 education, or related fields.
Pay:
$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
