North Park Sports Complex - Sports Programming Supervisor About North Park Sports Complex North Park Sports Complex (NPSC) is a premier multi-purpose, cross-seasonal sports facility (dome) dedicated to developing and enhancing sports skills in an enjoyable environment for residents and teams across the region. With a strong sports tradition and robust community participation, NPSC proudly features a full-size FIFA soccer field, party room, front desk, and lounge areas. The FIFA-sized field can be subdivided for training and competition across multiple sports. Position Overview We are seeking a Sports Programming Supervisor to join our team at North Park Sports Complex. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, overseeing customer service functions, and providing leadership to front-line staff. A key focus will be on Youth and Adult Sports Programs, including scheduling of events, officiating games and coaching youth programs. —as well as addressing all customer-facing concerns throughout the complex. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly organized, and committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience. Job Responsibilities Sports Programming Supervision Maintain & elevate current Sports Programming schedule with the ability to create additional sports leagues and tournaments. Provide enhanced coaching & management experience. Possess the proper skills needed to lead youth programs , ages 5-13 years old. Strong customer service and problem solving skills must be provided at tournament and sporting events. Develop an open line of communication with adult leagues to ensure smooth operations with officials, team managers, and staff. Ensure sports equipment and apparel are ordered and maintained in an organized fashion at the facility. Supervisory & Customer Service Lead and oversee sports staff & volunteers, customer service representatives, and part-time front desk staff. Serve as the primary point of escalation for customer concerns regarding sports programs and resolve issues promptly and professionally. Ensure staff deliver excellent service, maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for all guests. Provide training, guidance, and support to team members as needed. Monitor adherence to company policies, opening/closing procedures, and attendance standards. Birthday Party & Events Oversight Occasional work as Birthday Party Sports host, when required. Engage with party hosts, families, and guests to ensure a positive and memorable experience. Troubleshoot and resolve any customer-facing issues related to parties or events in real-time. Coordinate with staff to ensure parties run smoothly and on schedule. Facility Operations Provide security and control at the facility entrance and monitor guest flow. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the complex, including light cleaning and trash removal. Log and report maintenance and safety concerns. Support with scheduling, administrative tasks, and operational needs as directed by management. Skills & Qualifications Proven supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, written). Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure. Availability for most sports programming shifts (
Weekdays:
Monday and/or Tuesday Adult leagues;
Weekends:
Saturday Tournaments & Sunday youth leagues). Working Conditions Routine evening and weekend shifts with occasional extended hours. Standing for long periods of time.
