Job Summary We are seeking a self-starter and passionate Recreational Director to lead Blount United Rush SC's recreational soccer programs. This energetic professional will support the Director of Soccer Operations (DOSO) and Director of Coaching (DOC) in running year-round recreational programming, including Winter Futsal, Adult League, Rec+ youth program, and Summer 5v5 League. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for soccer and sports management, have excellent communication skills, and a strong background in program development, community outreach, and team leadership. Must have weeknight and weekend availability. This is a hybrid position, requiring both remote administrative work and in-person work leading recreational programs. This part-time paid position offers an exciting leadership opportunity to expand low-cost recreational soccer programming for athletes of all ages in Blount County. Duties Execute, grow, and evaluate all recreational soccer programs at Blount United Rush SC to promote low-cost soccer opportunities for athletes of all ages. Coordinate with club leadership (DOSO and DOC) in establishing registration programming, field and facility rentals, hiring/assigning recreational coaches, forming teams, and purchasing recreational program equipment and jerseys. Build strong rapport with recreational athletes and families. Learn the club's complete player pathway to assist each athlete in their unique youth soccer journey. Lead and supervise a team of coaches or volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth program execution. Be active in community outreach, spreading awareness to our local community about all of the club's recreational programming. Desired Experience 3+ years of experience in soccer leadership and/or sports management. U.S. Soccer Grassroots Coaching License or higher. Demonstrated knowledge of developing youth soccer players. Strong communication skills for effective programming communication and team coordination. Exceptional time management skills with the ability to work on administrative functions remotely and be completely reliable when leading in-person programming. Proficiency in Google Workspace for scheduling, documentation, and program planning purposes.
