Description:
Under general supervision, coordinates, promotes, oversees, evaluates, and performs a wide variety of tasks associated with the Logan Parks and Recreation - Recreation Division.
Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, coordinates, promotes, oversees, and performs a wide variety of tasks associated with the Logan Parks and Recreation - Recreation Division. These tasks will include, but not limited to, monitoring, facilitating and scheduling activities like pickleball, basketball, soccer, baseball, softball and flag football for youth and adults. Other responsibilities will include monitoring and scheduling officials and volunteers, and sometimes preparing facilities for programming. Ensuring a safe environment for recreation activities. All Logan Parks & Recreation Coordinators must be positive examples of safety and sportsmanship. Coordinators may be asked to participate in creating public relations materials such as flyers.
Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of a standard senior high school or equivalent. Red Cross CPR Certification highly desired; certification may also be obtained within three (3) months of employment. Spanish-speaking preferred. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff, department heads, and the public.
