Washington, DC and Vienna, VA Job Summary Join our high-energy team at our Breakdancing Academy as a Summer Camp Counselor . We are hiring for both our Washington, DC and Vienna, VA locations . This is not your typical camp — our program blends breaking (breakdancing), movement, music, creativity, and art into an unforgettable experience for kids. We're looking for responsible, organized, and positive leaders who can support both camp activities and daily studio operations. You'll help create a safe, structured, and inspiring environment while assisting with front desk and administrative responsibilities that keep the academy running smoothly. High-performing candidates may have the opportunity to transition into a long-term role beyond the summer. Responsibilities Camp & Activity Leadership Supervise and actively engage campers in daily activities including breakdancing, movement training, creative arts, and structured games. Assist instructors during breaking classes and workshops. Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers. Maintain strong behavior management and a respectful camp culture. Support campers of varying ages and skill levels in an encouraging, inclusive environment. Operations & Administrative Support Process customer transactions accurately (camp payments, merchandise, etc.). Answer customer phone calls and respond professionally to parent inquiries. Assist with general administrative tasks as needed. Help manage daily attendance and check-in/check-out procedures. Clean and organize the facility each day. Ensure the academy space is clean, safe, and fully prepared daily for camp activities. Qualifications Experience working with children (camp, daycare, coaching, tutoring, babysitting, etc.). Strong leadership and group management skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Professional communication skills with parents and team members. Comfortable handling transactions and basic administrative duties. Reliable, punctual, and high energy. Background in dance, breakdancing, hip-hop culture, movement, theater, or visual arts is a strong bonus. Basic first aid knowledge preferred. Growth Opportunity This is more than a seasonal role.
