General Manager - Opening Team Gold Ridge Bar & Kitchen | The Barlow | Sebastopol, Sonoma County Gold Ridge Bar & Kitchen is a brand-new restaurant directly across from the Barlow Hotel in Sebastopol, and the first chapter of the Barlow Hotel. The space is freshly renovated, with a new interior and all-new equipment. We hold our Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) and are ready to ramp up. We want Gold Ridge to become an institution for our community: a wood-fired kitchen and bar, open for lunch and dinner, serving solid, consistent, high-quality food without the stuffiness. We're looking for a team-first GM to build the front of house from scratch and run the business alongside our Executive Chef. We plan to open as soon as the right team is in place. About The Barlow Located in the heart of Sebastopol, The Barlow is a vibrant 12-acre open-air marketplace that blends local food, craft beverage, and artisan retail into one of the most popular destinations in Sonoma County. Originally the site of a historic apple processing facility, the district has been thoughtfully redeveloped into a walkable campus featuring wineries, breweries, distilleries, restaurants, and boutique shops operated by local makers. Visitors enjoy everything from small-batch wine and craft beer to farm-driven dining and artisan goods, many produced on site. With lively patios, outdoor gathering spaces, and year-round events and programming, The Barlow attracts both locals and visitors exploring Sonoma County wine country. Key Responsibilities Hire, train and lead the front-of-house team: servers, bartenders, runners, bussers, hosts Write the steps of service, including timing for 40-minute large cuts, tableside carving and the weekly rotisserie special Build the bar and wine program, with a Sonoma County focus Run the coffee program with our local roaster partner, Retrograde Coffee Set up POS, reservations, scheduling, payroll and vendor accounts Own the budget, P&L, labor cost and compliance Make Gold Ridge a place locals come back to every week Experience & Qualifications 5+ years as GM or AGM in full-service restaurants Has opened a restaurant before Strong working knowledge of California labor law: breaks, overtime, tip policies Comfortable with a P&L, budgets and labor scheduling Wine and cocktail knowledge, or the judgment to hire a strong bar lead A team player and hands-on host who works the floor during service Certifications & Requirements Must be 21 or older California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification, or able to earn it within 30 days of hire California Food Handler card; ServSafe Manager certification preferred Able to stand and walk for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs Work Environment Full-time, on-property leadership role Schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays Reports to

$90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
