Job Description

Miakka Golf Club is seeking a dynamic, high-caliber Food & Beverage Manager to assist in leading and shaping the hospitality experience at one of the nation's most exclusive private clubs. Working under the direct guidance of the Director of Food & Beverage, this role offers a rare opportunity to help build a world-class food and beverage program from the ground up, executing the culture, standards, and service philosophy that will define Miakka Golf Club for generations. As a premier private golf club serving an ultra-exclusive membership, Miakka is committed to delivering extraordinary experiences through impeccable service, refined cuisine, exceptional wines, and genuine hospitality. The Food & Beverage Manager will oversee the daily floor operations of the Club's dining venues, bars, and lounges, cultivating an environment where excellence is the daily standard and every member interaction is memorable. This position requires a highly visible, hands-on, and energetic leadership style. During the Club's foundational years, this individual will spend the vast majority of their time directly on the dining room floor—leading by example, refining service procedures, coaching team members in real-time, and ensuring execution reflects Miakka's uncompromising standards. This is a role built on active presence, engagement, operational agility, and servant leadership. Key Responsibilities
  • Floor Leadership & Member Experience
Daily Operations:
Manage day-to-day floor operations across all food and beverage outlets, including member dining, lounges, bars, private events, and future dining concepts.
    Hospitality Culture:
Foster a front-of-house culture of genuine hospitality built upon warmth, professionalism, precision, and highly personalized member service.
      Member Engagement:
Maintain a visible and welcoming presence on the floor, engaging with members daily to anticipate preferences and build lasting relationships.
        Service Standards:
Ensure the front-of-house team seamlessly executes luxury service standards, stepping in to support the team during peak service windows. Operations & Service Excellence
          Standard Operating Procedures:
Implement, reinforce, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training programs as the Club establishes its operational foundation.
            Real-Time Coaching:
Provide continuous on-the-floor mentorship, feedback, and real-time coaching to the service staff to ensure flawless execution.
              Culinary Collaboration:
Work closely alongside the Director of Food & Beverage and the culinary team to coordinate seamless service that honors the Executive Chef's culinary vision.
                Facility Maintenance:
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, ambiance, and meticulous attention to detail across all dining venues and service stations. Beverage & Wine Execution
                  Program Support:
Assist the Director of Food & Beverage in executing the Club's premier wine and beverage program.
                    Inventory & Controls:
Oversee daily beverage inventory controls, restocking procedures, cellar organization, and precise point-of-sale (POS) tracking.
                      Staff Training:
Assist in conducting regular wine, cocktail, and beverage service education sessions for the service team.
                        Event Execution:
Help plan, set up, and seamlessly execute exclusive wine dinners, tastings, and specialty member events. Financial & Administrative Management
                          Labor Management:
Manage weekly staff scheduling, monitor daily labor costs, and optimize floor coverage against member reservations to protect financial performance.
                            Cost Controls:
Supervise daily purchasing, POS reconciliation, and minimize product waste through disciplined operational oversight.
                              Performance Metrics:
