We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to play a key leadership role in the successful opening and long-term growth of The Blu Fin. Position Summary The Assistant General Manager partners with the General Manager to oversee the daily operations of the restaurant while ensuring exceptional service, operational excellence, and strong financial performance. This leadership role provides oversight of both front-of-house and back-of-house operations while developing high-performing teams and fostering a culture built on professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and hospitality. Key Responsibilities Partner with the General Manager to oversee the daily operations of the restaurant. Serve as acting General Manager in the General Manager's absence, ensuring seamless leadership and operational continuity. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing hospitality team. Foster a positive, accountable, and guest-focused culture. Ensure exceptional guest experiences and resolve concerns with professionalism and urgency. Maintain the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and operational execution. Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, coaching, and performance management. Support labor management, budgeting, and financial performance objectives. Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations. Review operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability. Build strong relationships with guests, team members, and community partners. Support private dining events, promotions, and other special initiatives. QualificationsRequired Three or more years of restaurant management experience, preferably in an upscale or fine dining environment. Proven leadership experience developing and managing hospitality professionals. Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, labor management, and financial performance. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Fine dining or luxury hospitality experience. Seafood or steakhouse experience. Experience with OpenTable, Resy, or similar reservation platforms. Wine knowledge or WSET certification is a plus.
