Apple Creek Golf Club is looking for an experienced, motivated, and personable Part-Time Bar Manager to join our team! Nestled among the beautiful bluffs of the Shawnee National Forest, Apple Creek Golf Club offers a unique dining and social experience for our members, guests, and the public. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can balance daily bar operations, inventory management, staff support, and exceptional customer service while bringing creativity and fresh ideas to our beverage program. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring efficient service and a positive guest experience. Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to members and guests. Assist with training, supervising, and supporting bartending staff. Manage liquor, beer, wine, and bar supply inventory, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels. Monitor beverage costs, reduce waste, and help maintain profitability. Develop and introduce creative seasonal cocktails, drink specials, and beverage promotions. Collaborate with management and the events team to coordinate beverage service for tournaments, private parties, weddings, and special events. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar. Ensure compliance with all applicable alcohol service regulations, health codes, and safety standards. Assist with scheduling and staffing needs to ensure appropriate coverage. Build positive relationships with members, guests, and fellow team members. Work alongside bartending staff during busy shifts and special events as needed. Qualifications Two years of previous Bar Manager experience required. Previous bartending, supervisory, or hospitality leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and beverage service. Experience with inventory management, ordering, and cost control preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Ability to lead by example and work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Friendly, outgoing personality with a strong commitment to customer service. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems. Must be dependable and available for evenings, weekends, and special events. Must meet Illinois legal requirements for alcohol service and obtain or maintain required BASSET certification.
