Job Overview The Clubhouse & Pro Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the clubhouse, pro shop, and related amenities. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage staff, ensure excellent member and guest experiences, and maintain smooth operational and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities Staff Management:
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise clubhouse and pro shop staff.
Customer Experience:
Collaborate with staff, members, and guests to ensure a consistently positive golf and clubhouse experience.
Facility Operations:
Ensure golf carts are clean, properly stationed, and ready for use.
Policy Enforcement:
Enforce all course and clubhouse policies and maintain a professional, welcoming environment.
Standard Operating Procedures:
Develop and maintain written SOPs, policies, and procedures as needed.
Employee Performance:
Conduct employee reviews, approve timecards, and manage disciplinary actions when necessary.
Financial Oversight:
Record and reconcile daily deposits with the POS system; assist with membership audits and management.
Inventory Management:
Order, manage, and audit inventory for kitchen, bar, and pro shop areas.
Marketing & Communications:
Help create and manage marketing materials, including maintaining social media pages and promoting club events.
Event Coordination:
Maintain a course calendar of events, attend monthly board meetings, and track historical event data to support future planning.
Reporting:
Provide regular operational reports and updates as requested by the board. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 5 years of verifiable managerial experience in hospitality, golf operations, or a related field. Food service experience required, with a current food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification promptly. Golf industry experience or strong golf knowledge preferred; candidates with hospitality or service backgrounds will be considered. Strong leadership and communication skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude. Ability to problem-solve and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability, including weekends and special events. POS experience required (Square system experience a plus). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to lift 25+ lbs. routinely and stand for extended periods. Compensation based on experience. Additional benefits and details will be discussed during the interview process.
