Café Manager @ Brownsburg High School Leadership Looks Different Here The Nutrition Services department's mission is to support our school communities by providing quality,nourishing meals in a safe and caring environment. Our continuous efforts to fulfill our purpose and support student success drive our department's work daily. Bring your foodservice, hospitality, and operations leadership experience to our department's largest and most dynamic location, Brownsburg High School. This is a high-volume, collaborative leadership opportunity where your creativity, ability to develop teams, and problem-solving skills can make an immediate and visible impact on our students. Collaborative leadership approach with a highly visible presence 30+ team members Menus prioritizing fresh, quality ingredients Ever-growing collection of scratch-made menu items Multi-site operation including two cafés with full kitchens, grab-and-go market, coffee shop, and mobile ordering High-volume meal production and service 2,500+ meals served daily Bring People and Operations Together Own the day-to-day operation. Keep a high-volume café running smoothly through strong systems, clear expectations, thoughtful planning, and a well-supported team. Team leadership, scheduling, training, and accountability Customer service and student experience Problem-solving and continuous improvement Operational standards, procedures, and consistency Daily café operations and service execution High-volume food production and workflow USDA's National School Lunch and Breakfast program implementation Inventory, ordering, forecasting, and resource management Food quality, safety, and sanitation Move the Café F orward As one of the most visible leaders within the Nutrition Services department, you'll lead today's operation while helping shape what comes next — strengthening the team, improving systems, advancing scratch cooking, and continually elevating the student experience. Build relationships with students, staff, and administrators Collaborate closely with department leaders Lead, develop, and support a large team Identify challenges and create thoughtful solutions Make confident decisions in a fast-moving environment Balance daily execution with planning for what's next Contribute to department-wide operational improvements Help advance our growing scratch-cooking program You Know How to Run a Busy Operation We're looking for an experienced leader who naturally thinks about people, flow, quality, efficiency, and what could work better.

High-volume and multi-site foodservice operations experience Collaborative leadership approach with a continuous-improvement mindset Proven team leadership and development Strong communication and relationship-building skills Strong operational and organizational skills Confident decision-making and problem-solving Commitment to quality, consistency, and food safety Production, inventory, scheduling, and workflow experience Knowledge of scratch cooking and high-volume food production Knowledge of school meals programs regulations and meal pattern requirements
•Must be a high school graduate or equivalent, have a valid driver's license, and transportation.
