Looking for a dependable and experienced Kitchen Supervisor. Hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (30 hrs/wk).

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma Serv-Safe Certified
• Minimum 1-2 years experience in food service management
• Demonstrated experience with delegating, decision making and effective communication
• Demonstrated excellent supervisory skills involving planning, organizing, and motivating staff members and volunteers
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, professional attitude
• Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to participate in difficult conversations Responsibilities include: Providing Instruction to kitchen aides and volunteers in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food; Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations; Inspect supplies, equipment, or work areas to ensure conformance to established standards; Check the quality of food or supplies, including raw or cooked food products to ensure that standards are met; Develop weekly grocery/supply list and keep track of supplies; Interact daily with guests of Isabella Community Soup Kitchen in a positive manner; Compile and maintain records of food use and number of meals served daily; Train new volunteers and provide direction to volunteers and staff in a kind manner; Clean all kitchen, dining, and bathroom areas after the completion of the daily meal service.
