Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a High School Cafeteria Manager and lead our vibrant food service operations! In this energetic role, you will oversee daily cafeteria activities, ensuring efficient food preparation, exceptional customer service, and smooth management of staff and resources. Your leadership will foster a positive dining environment, promote food safety standards, and support the overall well-being of students and staff alike. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated food industry professional passionate about culinary excellence and team management in an educational setting. Duties Supervise all cafeteria operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving to ensure quality and efficiency. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste. Oversee cash handling and procedures to ensure accuracy and accountability. Train, mentor, and evaluate cafeteria staff to uphold high standards of food safety, customer service, and teamwork. Implement food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. Coordinate shift management to ensure adequate staffing during peak meal times while maintaining a positive work environment. Conduct profit and loss analysis to optimize operational efficiency and support budget management efforts. Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, quick service or fast food restaurant environments, with a strong background in food service management. Demonstrated supervisory experience with team leadership, staff training, and interviewing skills. Knowledge of inventory control, food safety standards, and kitchen management best practices. Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and inventory calculations. Strong communication skills for managerial tasks including training & development, team management, and customer service interactions. Previous experience managing hospitality teams in casual dining or cafeteria settings is highly desirable.
