Full-time, Salaried Schedule:
Approximately 50 hours per week / 6 days per week
Pay:
Salary based on experience Cottage Inn Pizza in Grosse Pointe Woods is looking for an experienced, dependable, and hands-on General Manager to lead our team and oversee daily restaurant operations. This is a working manager position . The ideal candidate is comfortable leading a shift while also jumping in wherever needed — making pizzas, preparing dough, prepping ingredients, helping customers, and keeping the restaurant running smoothly. What You'll Do Lead and supervise employees during daily operations Run shifts and keep the restaurant operating efficiently Lead by example and work alongside the team Make pizzas and other menu items Prepare and portion ingredients Make and handle pizza dough Assist with opening and closing procedures Train and coach employees Help coordinate coverage when employees call off Hold team members accountable for attendance, performance, cleanliness, and store standards Maintain excellent food quality and order accuracy Provide excellent customer service Handle customer questions and concerns professionally Maintain food-safety and sanitation standards Keep the kitchen and restaurant clean and organized Communicate employee and operational issues to ownership What We're Looking For Previous pizza restaurant experience strongly preferred Previous shift-lead, assistant-manager, or restaurant-management experience required Experience leading a team in a fast-paced restaurant Comfortable making pizza, dough, and completing food prep Strong customer-service and communication skills Dependable, punctual, and accountable Comfortable coaching and directing employees Willing to work alongside the team rather than only supervise Able to work approximately 50 hours per week across 6 days Able to stand and work on your feet for extended periods Able to lift up to 50 lbs Available to work evenings and weekends as required ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain it Who Will Succeed in This Role? We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to jump in. If the kitchen gets busy, you make pizzas. If prep needs to be finished, you help with prep. If a customer has an issue, you handle it. And if an employee needs direction, you provide it. The right person is a strong shift leader who wants to take the next step into a larger management role while still being hands-on in the restaurant. If you have pizza and shift-lead experience and are ready to take ownership of the day-to-day operation of a busy restaurant, we'd like to hear from you.
Pay:
$16.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 50.0 per week
