With our beautiful venue, scenic grounds, and expanding pavilion space, we are looking for an experienced and driven Banquet & Event Sales Manager to help grow our private events program and lead our team to the next level.
We are seeking a hospitality-focused leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, has a passion for creating memorable guest experiences, and can successfully drive banquet and event sales while leading operations with professionalism and attention to detail. Position Summary The Banquet & Event Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing banquet sales, event planning, service execution, and front-of-house leadership related to private dining and events. This role works closely with guests, event planners, managers, and service staff to ensure every event is executed at the highest level while continuing to grow banquet revenue and maximize the potential of our venue and pavilion space.
This position also supports restaurant operations during slower banquet periods and plays a key leadership role in maintaining Trattoria Lisina's standards of hospitality and service excellence. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Drive banquet and private event sales growth Plan, coordinate, and oversee banquet and special events from start to finish Meet with guests for tours, consultations, and tastings Maintain excellent communication with guests, event planners, vendors, and staff Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to front-of-house banquet staff Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and high-quality service standards Hire, train, coach, and develop banquet and front-of-house team members Create and manage front-of-house staff schedules Assist with managing department expenses and maintaining labor and cost controls Oversee inventory and ordering of liquor, beer, and wine Ensure staff compliance with company policies and service expectations Support restaurant operations during slower banquet periods Help promote and expand the venue's event capabilities and overall guest experience Qualifications Previous banquet, event, or hospitality management experience preferred Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent hospitality and customer service abilities Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience with Tripleseat event planning software is a plus Wine knowledge and experience is a plus Banquet sales experience is highly preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed based on event schedules Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually (Base pay depending on experience + Commission) Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Employer paid life insurance Paid time off Employee discount Monthly commission Competitive pay
