Overview Slice House By Tony Gemignani is a renowned pizzeria by world-class pizza champion Tony Gemignani. Our mission is to bring artisanal pizza, made with love and skill, to our community. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who leads by example, takes ownership, communicates well with others, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This person will ensure consistent quality and adhere to hygiene and safety standards. Duties Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities to meet high standards of quality and presentation Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure efficient shift operations Oversee inventory control and food management processes to minimize waste, optimize stock levels, and maintain cost control. Order kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed Ensure strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures, hygiene standards, and health regulations across all kitchen areas Manage shift schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor team performance to maintain smooth workflow during busy periods Oversee catering and online orders, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality food in line with client expectations Safely lift and transport ingredients or dough weighing 60 pounds or more Clean and maintain equipment and workspaces to ensure a safe and organized environment Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and resolve issues as they arise Requirements CA Food Handlers Card or Food Manager Certification preferred Demonstrated supervising experience with strong team management skills Extensive knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and kitchen hygiene standards Familiarity with inventory management, cost control measures, and food handling best practices Ability to lead a diverse team in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of service and quality Excellent communication skills combined with leadership qualities to motivate staff and ensure seamless kitchen operations Physical ability to lift 60 pounds or more and perform repetitive tasks Work Environment Requires standing for long periods and working in a kitchen environment with varying temperatures May involve early morning or late night shifts depending on production schedules
