The ideal candidate will provide high-quality resident care in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating expertise in various nursing practices while also overseeing and mentoring a team of nursing staff. A current Indiana RN or LPN License is required . This role involves working closely with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal health outcomes. The Night Shift Supervisor will be responsible for assessing resident needs, developing care plans, implementing appropriate interventions, and ensuring that care standards are met across the team. The shift runs from 11pm to 7am. As part of the leadership responsibilities, the Night Shift Supervisor will be expected to assist with scheduling, supervise and guide nursing staff, promote a collaborative team environment, and ensure compliance with all regulations and policies. Strong communication skills, leadership ability, and a focus on team success are essential. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, outcomes-focused, and able to effectively manage both patient care and team dynamics. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' health status and medical history. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor and document residents' progress and responses to treatment. Provide education to residents and families regarding health management and disease prevention. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans. Participate in case management activities to coordinate patient care services. Maintain accurate medical records using appropriate medical terminology. Provide support in behavioral health situations as needed. Understand and enforce isolation precautions and infection control practices. Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to nursing staff to ensure quality care delivery and adherence to care protocols. Assist in the development of staffing schedules and ensure appropriate resource allocation for patient care needs. Evaluate team performance and provide feedback to promote professional growth and enhance team effectiveness. Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, management, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care. Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Qualifications Current Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Indiana. Experience in long term care is preferred. Post-acute Care Familiarity Strong assessment skills required. Current CPR License Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to patient care. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective resident education. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities. Dependable, confident, and able to handle clinical changes.
