Job responsibilities include, but not limited to: Assist the DC Manager in determining staffing levels, assigning teams, and providing clear direction to ensure timely task completion in adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate daily objectives, operational updates, and company announcements to team members. Train and develop employees on company policies and SOPs while monitoring ongoing performance in collaboration with the DC Manager. Delegate and oversee the picking and staging of orders for scheduled deliveries, coordinating with prior or incoming shifts as necessary. Manage the loading of delivery trucks, ensuring inventory accuracy, adherence to SOPs, and timely departures. Receive and process the overnight transfer truck, resolving shortages and initiating corrective actions. Prepare and combine bags for transfer to the Marne location. Escalate operational issues to appropriate leadership or support personnel when necessary. Identify and report process improvement opportunities to the DC Manager, recommending changes to existing procedures or new procedure creation. Work cross-functionally with internal departments to meet operational needs. Oversee and promote safe equipment operation practices in accordance with company policies and safety standards. Address employee performance, attendance, and policy violations through coaching, engagement, and disciplinary action, including written documentation when necessary. Assist in creating and communicating bi-weekly schedules to employees. Monitor hours worked, review weekly timecards, PTO requests, and attendance records for final approval by the DC Manager.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, business, or a related field preferred. Two to three years of warehouse experience required, preferably in a distribution environment. Minimum of one year of supervisory or team lead experience required . Required Skills and Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening. Strong decision-making, organizational, and time management skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; able to remain professional and courteous at all times. Basic math skills and the ability to apply them in daily tasks. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn and use required software and digital systems (e.g., Google Workspace) Ability to obtain and maintain a chauffeur's license and DOT physical certification. Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team. Ability to multi-task and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
