Hog Tide Bar-B-Que - Willard Mo . is a fast casual, destination restaurant providing diners world championship competition BBQ. Just a 15 minute drive from Springfield, our small hometown Willard location services many from surrounding areas around Springfield. We are proud to have been voted with multiple awards for best BBQ in the Ozarks over the past 4 years. The restaurant is supported by our flagship location in Aurora Mo. About the Position We are looking for a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Closing Shift Lead to join our restaurant team. The Closing Shift Lead is responsible for leading the team during the evening and closing operations, ensuring excellent guest service, maintaining food and safety standards, and making sure the restaurant is properly cleaned, stocked, secured, and ready for the next day's team. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working with people, stays calm under pressure, and takes pride in running a successful shift. Responsibilities Lead and support restaurant staff during evening and closing shifts Provide outstanding customer service and ensure guest satisfaction Assign team members to positions and responsibilities throughout the shift Monitor food quality, portioning, presentation, and service standards Ensure proper cash-handling and register procedures are followed Assist with opening/closing procedures and daily shift responsibilities Complete closing checklists accurately and thoroughly Ensure the restaurant is properly cleaned, organized, and stocked before closing Verify that kitchen, dining room, restrooms, and other areas meet cleanliness standards Ensure food is properly stored, labeled, dated, and rotated Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock items to management Follow and enforce health, food safety, and sanitation standards Handle customer concerns professionally and resolve issues when possible Support employees with training, coaching, and direction Help maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment Assist with employee breaks and shift coverage Complete required paperwork, logs, and closing reports Ensure all closing procedures are completed before leaving the restaurant Secure the restaurant according to company procedures Communicate important shift information, maintenance concerns, staffing issues, and customer feedback to management Perform other duties as assigned by the Restaurant General Manager or management team Qualifications Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred Previous leadership or shift-lead experience preferred but not required Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment Dependable and punctual Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods Strong attention to cleanliness and detail Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical restaurant duties Must be able to follow food safety, cash-handling, and company procedures What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Takes ownership of their shift Leads by example Holds team members accountable in a respectful manner Has a strong work ethic Enjoys helping and developing other employees Understands the importance of cleanliness, food safety, and organization Can make good decisions without constant supervision Takes pride in leaving the restaurant clean, organized, and ready for the next shift Why Join Our Team?
