The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic organization in the hospitality sector, where the Director of Food & Beverage leads a full?service hotel and event center to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role offers the chance to shape culinary and beverage operations, drive profitability, and mentor a high?performing team within a vibrant property in Wilmington, Ohio.

Responsibilities:

Lead and inspire the Food & Beverage team, embodying the hospitality culture and ensuring accountability across all outlets. Oversee event operations, banquets, restaurants, pub, and beverage services, translating plans into consistent execution. Maintain high service, cleanliness, and presentation standards through regular inspections and SOP enforcement. Drive financial performance by managing revenue, profitability, labor, cost controls, budgeting, and forecasting. Recruit, develop, and retain high?performing F&B managers and staff, providing coaching and performance management. Collaborate with Culinary, Sales, Rooms, Engineering, and Finance to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction. Ensure compliance with food safety, alcohol service, and safety regulations, maintaining certifications such as ServSafe and TIPS. Manage inventory, purchasing, payroll processes, and audit invoices and schedules for accuracy.

Must-Have Skills:

Minimum 5 years progressive Food & Beverage leadership in a hotel, resort, or conference center. Proven experience leading banquets, outlets, and bar operations. Strong financial acumen managing budgets, forecasts, cost control, and profitability. Must hold or obtain ServSafe, TIPS, or equivalent certifications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels. Ability to manage stressful situations calmly, exercise sound judgment, and solve problems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property?specific operating systems. Demonstrated capability to develop and enforce service standards and operating procedures.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with high?volume meetings, conventions, or conference center operations. Knowledge of revenue optimization and menu engineering techniques. Familiarity with HR best practices, succession planning, and talent development. Track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Strong cross?departmental collaboration skills. Understanding of current hospitality industry trends and guest expectations.
