This position serves as an on-site leader during assigned shifts and is expected to take ownership of operational issues, support employees, maintain the overall atmosphere of the facility, and ensure that established standards are consistently met.

The Supervisor works closely with the General Manager, management team, bartenders, porters, vendors, and event staff to ensure the facility is operating efficiently. This role requires strong judgment, communication, accountability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOn-Site Leadership and Shift Oversight Serve as the primary on-site supervisor during assigned shifts. Take ownership of operational issues that arise during the shift and resolve issues within the scope of the position whenever possible. Escalate significant issues or situations that cannot be resolved immediately to the General Manager and provide clear follow-up information. Communicate shift issues, recurring concerns, and operational needs to the management team. Support and hold staff accountable for completing assigned responsibilities and maintaining operational standards. Staff Accountability Ensure bartenders, porters, and other assigned staff understand and complete their required duties. Review position checklists and confirm that responsibilities have been completed. Check out porters at the end of their shifts to ensure all assigned cleaning, maintenance, and reset duties are complete before they leave. Address performance or operational concerns in the moment when appropriate and communicate recurring issues to management. Lead by example and maintain a professional, positive, and solutions-oriented approach. Guest Experience and Hospitality Help create a culture centered around hospitality and accommodating guest needs. Maintain a "yes" mindset by looking for solutions and opportunities to accommodate guests whenever possible. Respond to guest concerns professionally and work to resolve issues quickly. Ensure the overall facility remains welcoming, organized, and guest-ready throughout the day. Recognize that the atmosphere and guest experience are the responsibility of the entire management team. Audio/Visual and Atmosphere Ensure TVs, music, and other audio/visual elements are operating and appropriately managed throughout each day. Stay informed about popular sporting events, major games, and other programming opportunities. Ensure relevant events are displayed proactively rather than waiting for guests to request them. Monitor music volume, TV programming, and the overall atmosphere to create an engaging environment. Report any AV equipment issues promptly and assist with troubleshooting when possible. Facility Appearance and Furniture Reset Maintain the overall appearance and presentation of The Gatherall throughout each shift. Ensure furniture is arranged according to the approved floor plan and reference photos. Monitor the space throughout the day and reset tables, chairs, and other furniture as needed. Ensure workstations, offices, and shared operational spaces remain clean, organized, and functional. Assist with maintaining designated storage areas for private events and operational supplies. Private Events and Programming Assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of private events. Ensure event spaces are properly prepared and reset following events. Support the coordination of event staffing and communicate operational needs to management. Help maintain a strong focus on programming, events, and activities that improve the guest experience and drive traffic to the facility. Qualifications Previous supervisory, hospitality, restaurant, bar, food hall, or event operations experience preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of issues. Ability to hold staff accountable while maintaining a positive and professional working environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Understanding of bar, front-of-house, and event operations is preferred. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed. Key Expectations Success in this role will be measured by the Supervisor's ability to: Maintain consistent leadership and operational oversight during assigned shifts. Identify and resolve problems rather than allowing issues to go unaddressed. Communicate effectively with the General Manager and management team. Hold employees accountable for completing their responsibilities. Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready facility. Ensure the facility's atmosphere, including TVs and music, is actively managed. Support a guest-focused culture built around finding solutions and saying "yes" whenever possible. Ensure proper shift transitions and clear communication between team members. Take pride in the overall appearance, operations, and guest experience at The Gatherall. Work Environment This position requires regular movement throughout the facility and may include standing and walking for extended periods. The Supervisor will work in a fast-paced hospitality and event environment and must be available to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs.
Pay:
$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
