Lead a High-Impact Food Service Program That Makes a Difference Are you an experienced food service professional who is passionate about nutrition, food safety, regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional service? We are seeking an organized, innovative, and hands-on Food Service Director to oversee our comprehensive meal program serving Early Learning Centers. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring nutritious, high-quality meals are planned, produced, and delivered while maintaining full compliance with all federal and state nutrition program requirements. Responsibilities Menu Development Develop nutritious, appealing, and cost-effective menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Create seasonal menu rotations that provide variety while meeting nutritional standards. Evaluate recipes and introduce new menu items that children enjoy while supporting healthy eating habits. Regulatory Compliance Ensure full compliance with: Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) USDA meal pattern requirements Head Start Performance Standards State and local health department regulations Stay current with changing federal and state regulations. Nutrition & Meal Pattern Compliance Ensure all meals meet age-specific portion sizes and nutritional requirements. Verify production records and meal counts for accuracy. Monitor serving sizes and nutritional quality across all program locations. Special Dietary Accommodations Coordinate meal modifications for: Medical statements Food allergies Disabilities Therapeutic diets Religious or cultural food preferences Work closely with program leadership and families to ensure safe meal accommodations. Documentation & Program Monitoring Maintain complete documentation required for: CACFP reimbursement claims USDA monitoring Head Start reviews Internal audits Prepare records for inspections and compliance reviews. Support Family Style Dining Support and promote Family Style Meal Service within Early Learning Centers. Train staff on best practices that encourage children's independence, social development, and healthy eating habits. Partner with classroom staff to create positive mealtime experiences. Food Safety & Quality Assurance Maintain the highest standards for: Food safety Sanitation HACCP procedures Temperature monitoring Safe food handling Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal food safety regulations. Communication & Customer Service Maintain excellent communication with Early Learning Center leadership and staff. Respond promptly to questions, concerns, and service requests. Coordinate menu changes, delivery schedules, and operational updates. Operational Excellence Ensure dependable meal production and on-time service. Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively. Monitor food quality and continually improve service standards. Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, delivery personnel, and program administrators. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of progressive food service management experience. Experience with

Child Nutrition Programs, Head Start, K-12 school nutrition, healthcare, childcare, or institutional food service strongly preferred. Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Experience supervising teams and managing multiple locations is preferred. ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain) preferred.
