QUALIFICATIONS

Must have strong organizational and record keeping skills. Background in inventory and storage. FIFO (First In, First Out) and other inventory rotation methods. Learn and successfully manage reports for the Child Nutrition Department. Assists in serving meals when instructed Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, food service, school nutrition programs. Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. Performs related duties as required.

JOB OVERVIEW

To maintain an efficient and effective warehouse. Help with preparation of food, as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of food, supplies, and equipment. Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized inventory system. Monitor stock levels and coordinate purchasing to prevent shortages or excess inventory. Attend in-service training as directed by Child Nutrition Department. Any other duties as requested by supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of a Child Nutrition III/ Inventory employee are to maintain accurate inventory and records as well as assisting other Child Nutrition workers in serving the best quality meals to our students.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is in a cafeteria setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting and moving objects of approximately 50 pounds.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Must wear long slacks (jeans) and enclosed-toe shoes.

EVALUATION

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.

SALARY RANGE

Is based on the EPS Support Negotiated Contract Scale.
