Job Description
Busy 21+ cocktail bar with a scratch kitchen looking for a capable and seasoned brunch cook to work a small line for our new weekend brunch program! We ran an award winning brunch restaurant in Oregon City pre-covid and expect our sales to escalate quickly after launching brunch this Friday (10/9)Located in the mountain town of Sandy (10 miles southeast of Gresham)
•very accessible for East Portland, Gresham, Happy Valley, Clackamas and Oregon City.
What We're Looking ForWe're looking for a cook 4 AM shifts a week (Thursday prep, Friday, Sat, Sun cooking) that we can elevate to a brunch lead by January. You need to be fast, comfortable, and confident on eggs, fryer, and grill. Mostly, though, we're looking for a hard worker that fits our team!
General Requirements:
2 to 3+ years of fast paced brunch saute experience (this is critical
•you need to know how to cook eggs consistently and fast)Ability to read recipes, measure accurately, and flavor adjust your foodExcellent multitasking and time-management skillNo hard addictions
Pay:
$23
•$31/hr including tips. $20/hr base + $30
•$90+ in tips per cooking shift depending on day. 6-9 hour shifts (9-3ish Thursday prep, 7-3:30ish Fri, Sat, Sun Cooking)
Training:
We value the integrity of our product and take a hands on approach to training, explaining the how and why of everything we do
Vibe:
Small team, two brunch cooks and two FoH, 34 seats, gets pretty busy during dinner hours and we expect the same of brunch. Staff ranges from late 20's-late 30's, everyone pitches in to get the job done, eats free and gets a shifty!
