Role:

At AdviniaCare Scallop Shell, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Director to join our team. As a Food Service Director, you will play a vital role in overseeing the food service operations at our Assisted Living community, providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents while ensuring compliance with our high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage a team of cooks, servers, and other food service staff to ensure seamless daily operations Develop and implement menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents, with a focus on quality, presentation, and nutrition Manage inventory, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste Conduct regular food safety and sanitation inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards Collaborate with other departments, such as nursing and activities, to ensure effective communication and coordination Monitor and control labor costs, ensuring efficient staffing levels and scheduling Maintain accurate records and reports, including menu planning, inventory management, and budget tracking

Requirements:

2+ years of experience as a Food Service Director or in a similar role Strong culinary background with knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and service Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality, safety, and compliance High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred
