Walking Food Tour Guide California Coastal Food Tours Laguna Beach, CA Job Details Contract $65 - $85 a day 5 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Customer service Public speaking Schedule management Ability to follow instructions Time management Full Job Description California Coastal Food Tours is looking for a friendly, outgoing tour guide to lead small-group walking food tours in Laguna Beach and Newport Beach. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting people, sharing the local food and history of Laguna + Newport Beach, and wants flexible supplemental income without committing to a traditional part-time schedule. What you'll do: Lead a fun, 3-hour walking food tour through Laguna Beach and/or Newport Beach Share stories about local food, history, art and culture Visit 5 local food and beverage stops with your guests Provide a friendly, memorable experience for visitors What makes this job different: Tour schedules vary, so this is not a traditional part-time job with guaranteed weekly hours . Instead, it's ideal for someone who enjoys having a flexible schedule and wants to pick up work when tours are available — whether you're semi-retired, working another job, freelancing, or simply looking for a fun way to earn some extra money. A typical tour is about 3 hours , and guides earn an hourly rate plus tips . Tips can vary from tour to tour, but a good day can be quite rewarding. You won't be expected to work if a tour isn't scheduled, and you'll have flexibility around your availability. We're looking for someone who is: Warm, personable and comfortable talking to groups Reliable and punctual Comfortable walking 1-2 miles in total Knowledgeable about or interested in Laguna Beach or Newport Beach Comfortable working independently Looking for supplemental income rather than a guaranteed full-time or part-time income Local candidates are strongly preferred , particularly those who live in or near Laguna or Newport Beach. If you're looking for a flexible, enjoyable side job where you get to meet interesting people, eat great food and show visitors around one of Southern California's most beautiful towns, we'd love to hear from you.
