Full-Time / Part-Time / Seasonal About Us Join one of Crystal River's leading eco-tour companies and help guests experience one of Florida's most magical natural encounters—swimming and observing wild manatees in their natural habitat. We are dedicated to responsible wildlife interaction, exceptional guest service, and environmental stewardship. Job Summary As a Manatee Tour Guide, you will lead guests on educational, safe, and unforgettable manatee tours throughout Kings Bay and surrounding waterways. You'll share your knowledge of manatee behavior, local ecology, and conservation while ensuring every tour is conducted with the highest safety and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities Lead guided manatee tours by boat, kayak, or in-water snorkeling. Provide engaging, educational information about manatees, local wildlife, conservation, and area history. Ensure all guests follow safety rules, wildlife interaction guidelines, and proper snorkeling techniques. Fit guests with gear (wetsuits, masks, snorkels) and provide instruction. Operate tour vessels safely and responsibly (if licensed). Monitor weather and water conditions to adjust tours as needed. Assist with customer check-in, preparation, and cleanup. Maintain a friendly, professional, and approachable attitude at all times. Represent the company's values of eco-responsibility and respectful wildlife encounters. Qualifications Passion for wildlife, outdoor recreation, and educating others. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Comfortable swimming and snorkeling; able to assist guests in the water. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Boat handling experience and a valid USCG Captain's License preferred but not required for all guide roles. Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (gear, equipment). Comfortable spending extended periods in the water and outdoors in varying weather. Ability to assist guests with mobility or water-related challenges. What We Offer Competitive pay plus tips.
