1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse House Supervisor with Cerner and Charge Nurse experience for a night shift assignment requiring MD or compact RN licensure. Details House Supervisor role in an inpatient acute care hospital setting Night shift schedule combining 12, 8, and 10 hour shifts to reach 40 hours per week Patient ratio of 1:5-6 No on-call responsibilities and no floating required Holiday and weekend rotation required as needed Guaranteed 36 hours per week Requirements Active RN license (MD or Compact) required; pending MD license accepted Minimum 5 years of RN experience required (house supervisor experience not required) Previous Charge Nurse experience required Cerner charting system experience required Must have completed at least one previous travel assignment Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Bachelor's Degree Preferred certification: NIHSS Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment Must support at least 2 years of experience within the previous 3 years 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required Flu vaccine required Additional Information Oversee nursing operations and staffing across multiple units during assigned shifts Supervise nursing care delivery organizationally across all units Serve as a clinical expert resource for emergency care, code management, and rapid response situations Responsible for bed management, including new admissions, transfers, and post-procedure/post-surgery coordination Knowledge of regulatory requirements (DPH, TJC, OSHA) and risk management practices expected Experience with staffing models, scheduling, and human resource management required Scrub color required: Ceil Blue Local candidates accepted within 60 miles at a lower rate Candidates must reside within 60 miles for local rate eligibility, with address matching driver's license No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO during the first two weeks Former MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
