Park Field Marshal White Plains Recreation and Parks - 4.5 White Plains, NY Job Details Part-time $17 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Behavior management Customer communication Public speaking Full Job Description Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Park Field Marshal, where you will be the frontline ambassador ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and seamless experience for all visitors. Your energetic presence will help manage park activities, oversee guest safety, and coordinate event operations in an outdoor environment. As a key member of our team, you will promote a positive atmosphere, uphold safety protocols, and support the smooth running of park events and daily operations. Responsibilities Observe field usage, check permits, contact supervisor about any peculiar or unusual behavior or activities are noted. Report any unusual incidents and/or activities to Supervisor and/or Commissioner immediately. Oversee event activities, managing crowd flow and coordinating with vendors and staff to ensure smooth operations Enforce safety protocols by monitoring guest behavior, managing conflict situations effectively, and responding promptly to emergencies using first aid or CPR when necessary Conduct regular safety inspections of the park grounds, including outdoor work areas and event venues, ensuring compliance with safety standards Communicate clearly with guests through public speaking or signage to provide directions, event information, or safety instructions Support conflict management efforts by mediating disputes calmly and professionally to maintain a positive environment Demonstrated ability to handle conflict situations with professionalism and tact Strong communication skills suitable for public speaking and guest interaction Previous experience working with children or in family-oriented settings is beneficial Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and outdoor work activities Join us as a Park Field Marshal and be part of an energetic team dedicated to creating memorable experiences while maintaining safety and hospitality excellence!
