Charleston, SC area Maybe you're semi-retired and looking for a few meaningful hours a week.
Maybe you're home with your kids and want work that fits around school pickup, not against it.
Either way:
if you love people and want a role where showing up well actually matters, we'd like to meet you.
THE ROLE
Faris Residences is hiring a Part-Time Leasing Ambassador to support three of our Charleston-area communities: Goose Creek, Moncks Corner, and Strawberry Station. This role has two parts. Most weeks, you'll have a set schedule at Strawberry Station showing available homes to prospective residents, following up with leads when not on tours, and helping out with other administrative tasks like resident follow up. On top of that, you'll be our trusted backup for
Goose Creek and Moncks Corner:
when a team member there is out sick or on PTO, you step in for a full day of coverage so the resident experience never skips a beat. We're building this role because we'd rather have someone who knows our residents, our systems, and our standards than rely on a temp agency and a rotating cast of strangers. You'll be trained, you'll be part of the team, and your work will actually matter here.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Give warm, informative tours of available apartment homes to prospective residents at Strawberry Station Answer questions about floor plans, pricing, and move-in availability Represent the Faris Residences brand and standards at every interaction Step in for full-day community coverage at Goose Creek or Moncks Corner when a team member is out Log activity and follow up with prospects using our leasing systems (full training provided)
YOUR SCHEDULE
Your Strawberry Station tour days will be set in advance: typically 2 to 3 days a week, with the specific days and hours worked out together around peak tour times. If no tours are scheduled during those blocks of time you will work on lead follow, resident follow up, and other tasks to support our mission. Coverage days at Goose Creek and Moncks Corner work differently. Those come up when a team member is out: sometimes with plenty of notice for planned PTO, sometimes same-day for an unexpected sick call. We'll always give you as much notice as we possibly can, but we're looking for someone who can say yes to a same-day text more often than not. If you need a schedule that's fully locked in weeks ahead, this probably isn't the right fit. If a little unpredictability doesn't bother you in exchange for flexible, meaningful part-time work, it might be exactly right.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
Reliable personal transportation and the ability to travel between our Goose Creek, Moncks Corner, and Strawberry Station communities Ability to pass a standard background check Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for scheduling and basic software; we'll train you on the rest A genuinely warm, welcoming presence: this is a people-first role Willingness to commit to your set Strawberry Station tour schedule and to say yes to on-call coverage days with same-day notice more often than not Preferred, not required: Prior experience in leasing, retail, sales, hospitality, or another customer-facing role Familiarity with property management or CRM software
COMPENSATION & DETAILS
$20-22 per hour, based on experience W-2 part-time employee, not a 1099 contractor Paid, hands-on training on our leasing systems and processes before you're on your own
