Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the face of our restaurant, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, expert knowledge of our menu and beverage offerings, and a lively, welcoming attitude. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will ensure guests feel valued and eager to return. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary and beverage expertise while creating memorable dining moments for our guests. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted clearly. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality. Upsell menu items, including wines, spirits, cocktails, and desserts, to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, handling all sales transactions with precision. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including proper food handling and beverage service procedures. Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas promptly, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub environments. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations gracefully. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs efficiently. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
