Duties Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery Recommend menu items, including wine pairings and specialty cocktails, to enhance guest satisfaction through upselling techniques like OpenTable reservations and Spirits experience Process cash and card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales transaction processing and cash handling Serve food and beverages with professionalism, including cocktail preparation, beverage service, and food presentation Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and coordinate guest needs seamlessly Skills Extensive knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order entry and transaction processing Proven experience in food service roles within fine dining or high-volume restaurants; culinary experience is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle guest relations effectively Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours Ability to upsell menu items confidently by leveraging sales techniques like suggestive selling of wines, spirits, or specialty cocktails Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and bill splitting; familiarity with Food industry standards is essential Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques Experience with reservation systems such as OpenTable is advantageous Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth service flow Demonstrated hospitality mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction and restaurant experience Embark on a rewarding journey in the hospitality industry where your enthusiasm makes every guest feel valued.
