Duties Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment according to food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients under the supervision of kitchen staff Clear and buss tables promptly to maintain a clean dining area and support efficient food service flow Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting of supplies, dish carts, and trash disposal while adhering to safety protocols Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, sinks, and other small appliances Support food handling procedures by maintaining proper hygiene standards during all stages of food service Deliver prepared dishes from the kitchen to dining areas quickly and accurately as a Food Runner Requirements Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen setting Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking Basic knife skills for assisting with food prep tasks are a plus but not mandatory Strong attention to detail in cleaning, organization, and following health & safety standards Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their culinary knowledge while supporting a vibrant restaurant team.
