Escort guests to their tables, ensuring a smooth and welcoming seating process. Clear and reset tables promptly, maintaining cleanliness through dishwashing and general cleaning duties in accordance with food safety standards. Assist servers by bussing tables, refilling beverages, and delivering food orders swiftly from the kitchen to guests' tables. Support food preparation and handling tasks as needed, ensuring proper food safety practices are followed at all times. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding special dietary needs or specific guest requests, utilizing POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy. Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, and managing trash disposal efficiently. Handle guest inquiries with professionalism via phone etiquette or in-person interactions, fostering positive guest relations and guest services experience. Requirements Previous experience as a host/hostess, busser, or food runner in a restaurant setting is highly preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests courteously and professionally. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions or POS operations such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods throughout shifts. Experience with dishwashing, cleaning routines, and maintaining sanitation standards in a busy environment. Familiarity with beverage preparation and order taking processes enhances service quality. Hospitality or guest services background that emphasizes customer satisfaction and positive guest experiences is advantageous.
