The ideal candidate will work closely with servers, chefs, and kitchen staff to ensure orders are presented correctly, tables receive timely service, and guests enjoy a positive dining experience. Key Responsibilities Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables promptly. Verify dishes against order tickets before serving. Ensure food presentation meets restaurant quality standards. Communicate special requests and dietary requirements to service staff. Coordinate with chefs, servers, and other team members during busy periods. Assist servers with table service and guest requests. Identify dishes accurately and explain menu items when needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization in service areas. Clear used dishes and assist with resetting tables when required. Monitor order timing and communicate delays to the service team. Follow proper food-handling and hygiene procedures. Ensure food is carried and served safely. Refill water and assist with basic guest needs when assigned. Keep service stations stocked with plates, utensils, and other supplies. Report incorrect or incomplete orders to the kitchen promptly. Support opening, closing, and side-work duties. Follow restaurant service standards and workplace safety policies. Qualifications & Skills Previous food runner, server assistant, or hospitality experience preferred. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good attention to detail and order accuracy. Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude. Ability to carry trays and stand or walk for extended periods. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation. Ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks. Calm and dependable during busy service periods.
