Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with a friendly demeanor. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted clearly. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling additional menu items like wines or cocktails. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including food preparation details, wine pairings, spirits, and cocktail recipes to provide expert recommendations. Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during service; assist with bussing tables and resetting for new guests. Build strong guest relations through attentive service, addressing inquiries promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Support team members during busy periods by assisting with food handling, drink service, or other restaurant duties as needed. Qualifications Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques like OpenTable or cocktail experience is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently while maintaining quality service. Ability to process cash transactions accurately and handle sales transaction processing with attention to detail. Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences. Basic math skills for bill calculation and change handling; understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols is essential.
