Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservation schedules, and seat customers efficiently using restaurant table management systems. Assist with guest check-in and seating arrangements, ensuring smooth flow during busy hours. Take accurate takeout orders via phone or online platforms, confirming details and special requests with clarity and professionalism. Coordinate with kitchen staff and food runners to ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining food safety standards. Manage phone communication with courteous phone etiquette, answering inquiries about menu items, reservations, and wait times. Maintain organized dining areas and waiting lists, utilizing Toast POS for order processing and guest billing. Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Experience Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated newcomers eager to learn. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and restaurant table management systems is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently are essential for success in this role. Basic math skills are necessary for accurate order entry and billing procedures. Knowledge of Toast POS enhances your ability to perform transactions smoothly. Experience in guest services or customer relations will help you excel at creating positive dining experiences.
