Responsibilities Safely handle and transport food items from the kitchen to dining areas using proper manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices. Assist with food preparation, plating, and garnishing to ensure dishes meet presentation standards. Buss tables by clearing plates, utensils, and glassware efficiently to maintain cleanliness and guest comfort. Ensure all food running tasks are completed swiftly to support timely service during busy hours. Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing regular cleaning duties such as wiping surfaces, sanitizing stations, and disposing of waste properly. Support the restaurant team with basic food safety practices, including proper food handling and storage procedures. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team using clear language to coordinate service flow and guest needs. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; familiarity with kitchen operations is a plus. Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices. Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and guest interactions. Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous but not required. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude with a passion for hospitality and delivering excellent guest service.
