Duties Safely transport prepared food from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring timely delivery. Assist with food presentation and plating to maintain high-quality standards. Clear and clean tables efficiently by bussing dishes, glasses, and utensils after guests finish their meals. Support the kitchen team with basic food handling and preparation tasks as needed. Maintain cleanliness in service areas through regular cleaning and sanitation practices. Handle heavy lifting safely when moving large trays or bulk supplies, following proper lifting techniques. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate service flow and guest needs. Experience Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key! Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order management. Experience with banquet service or large-scale events can be beneficial. Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude are essential for delivering exceptional guest service. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safe practices. Previous kitchen or hospitality experience helps in understanding food preparation and service flow.
