Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Server/Cashier to join our dynamic food service team. In this role, you will be the friendly face greeting guests, taking their orders, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. You will also handle cash register operations, process retail sales transactions, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, customer service, and point-of-sale (POS) systems while working in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and enthusiasm. Paid training is provided to help you succeed in all aspects of the role. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide excellent food service by taking orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems. Prepare simple food items as needed, following food safety standards and sanitation protocols to ensure quality and safety. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, assisting with basic food preparation when required. Manage cash register operations, process cash and card transactions accurately, and handle cash handling responsibilities with integrity. Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities through friendly recommendations. Maintain a clean workspace by regularly cleaning tables, counters, and food prep areas, adhering to sanitation standards. Assist with bussing tables, food handling, and supporting overall restaurant operations to ensure smooth service flow. Qualifications Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated newcomers eager to learn. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; training will be provided if needed. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and follow food safety management practices diligently. Experience in food handling, sanitation, or serving roles within the food industry is advantageous.
